ABOUT OUR SERVICES
Why use Architectural Professionals?

In order to become an Architectural Technologist, one must complete several years of studying in design, specification and construction of buildings, and have passed a professional practice examination. What is unique and defining about architecture is the combined and rounded complete body of knowledge, taught and maintained by the profession. As a result of the comprehensive study of Architectural Technology and Design, qualified Architectural Professionals are highly skilled in the following:

-
Looking at the big picture – we look beyond your immediate requirements to design flexible buildings that will adapt to the changing needs of your circumstances.
-
Studying a building and reporting on its suitability for a specific function
-
Advising you about the methods of construction.
-
Liaising with you regarding your choice of contractor.
-
Advising you on the appointment of additional consultants.
- Solving problems creatively – when architectural professionals are involved at the earliest planning stage, they gain more opportunities to translate your ideas into spatial requirements whilst meeting the requirements of the law relating to building contracts, health & safety, planning & building regulations.

What Does it Cost?
Costs are job specific and tailored to the Project and the Clients requirements with a no obligation quote provided before any service is undertaken. A general guideline for Architectural Fees where simple plans are drawn and submitted for Planning could cost as little as;
Single Storey Rear Kitchen Extension £750
Two Storey Side or Rear Extension £880
Loft Conversions from £750.

Building regulation submittals are not included in figures shown.

Initially a scope of works is required. This will determine the size of the job and whether it will require; a survey carried out, a feasibility study and sketches, simply planning office submittal drawings and or Building regulation preparation and submission drawings, Tender drawings, tender action and a list of preferred contractors or negotiations with a personal preferred contractor and finally administration of a contract on your behalf for the erection of your project.
Fully administered projects larger than £100,000 are subject to RIBA Architectural Fees based on a percentage of the overall project cost within the region your investment resides.
In addition there are the following benefits from appointing an Architectural Professional:
Architectural Technologists can save you money by maximising your investment. A well-designed building can reduce your bills now and increase its long-term value.
